Romeo Parent of Caribou was recently reappointed to the Catholic Charities Maine board of directors. He will serve the charity for the coming year.
Officials at Catholic Charities also announced that David Madore of Augusta, previous vice chair, is the newly elected board chair. Madore, a former legislator, replaces Roger Dyer of Houlton, who will now serve as immediate past chair.
Other members of the executive committee include Mark LaPointe of Portland, vice chair; Rachel Grivois of Bangor, treasurer; and Barbara Smith of Scarborough, secretary.
Also reinstalled on the board with Parent were Deacon Bob Cleveland of Hope; Craig Foster, Sister Jean Little, Sister Ellen Turner and Deacon John McAuliffe, all of Portland; John McCormack of Gorham; and Kathleen Murphy of Lewiston. Father Michael Seavey, parochial vicar of Portland, was welcomed as a new member.
