CARIBOU — The County Federal Credit Union has awarded the Marissa Lloyd Sunshine Fund in Caribou the seventh of its “Count on The County” awards to nonprofit organizations to help them carry on their good works.
Credit union officials recently presented the money to representatives of the fund, which is an advocate for children’s rights, assisting them in developing skills to protect, guide and educate themselves in recognizing forms of abuse and neglect. The fund also supports children in realizing they have a recognizable voice, offering a future and a hope without fear of retaliation.
