LIMESTONE and CARIBOU – Richard Paul Goodwin, 75, “Captain, My Captain” died January 27, 2014, at Caribou. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts, January 11, 1939, the son of the late Harold and Dorothy (Holbrook) Goodwin.
Richard loved to camp and ride in the pontoon boat with his family at Birch Haven at Eagle Lake. He also loved to ride his three-wheeled bicycle and was an avid Patriots and Red Sox fan. He also truly enjoyed his morning coffee and doughnuts, and had a large collection of Spiderman comic books/items and religious icons. And for all of his life, Richard always believed there was a Santa Claus.
He is survived by his sister, Storm Goodwin and her husband, John Pelkey, of Lime-stone, with whom Richard has made his residence for many years; his brother, George Goodwin of Norfolk, MA; two nephews, Michael Craft of Dover, NH, and Gary Craft of Houlton, and a special niece, Caitlyn Bossie of Caribou.
