The 30th annual Wild Katahdin Trust Snow Run will be held Saturday near the John Millar Civic Center in Houlton. All proceeds benefit the Army National Guard Family Readiness Group.
The Wild Katahdin Trust Snow Run serves as the first race in the Aroostook Musterds County Challenge Series.
Registration for the walk/race will be held form 9:30-10:30 a.m. The 3-mile walk begins at 10:45 a.m., with the 5K run following at 11 a.m. Cost is $12. T-shirts will be given to the first 50 registered participants. There are changing rooms available.
Trophies will be awarded to the first and second male and female in each running age group and first male and female in the walking division. A “mean runner award” will also be presented. Refreshments and traditional chicken stew will be available after the event, and door prizes will be drawn.
Age categories for the 5K include: 14 and under, 15-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over. Adult guardian must accompany children under 10 years of age.
