Joan M. Belyea, 76, died Feb. 3, 2014, at her residence. She was born Feb. 21, 1937 at Houlton, the daughter of Bert and Hazel (Ellis) Suitter.
Joan attended the Glad Tidings Church and The Rock Church, both of Bangor. She was a member of the Houlton Wesleyan Church. Joan enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family was her greatest love.
Joan is survived by her children, Wayne and his wife Cathy, Rodney, Randy and his wife Kim, Heidi Joaquin and her husband Jeff; eight grandchildren, Jill and fiancé Cole, Matt, Josh and his wife Alicia, Kate, Micah, Melissa, Josh and Trey; six great-grandchildren, Taylor, Jacob, Alana, Lilli Ann, Hayden and Jaycee; eleven siblings, Ronald, Sonny, Marvin, Glen, Ray, Jeanette, Darrell, Connie, Ervin, Norma and Larry; several nieces and nephews; special extended family, Harold Fitzpatrick, II, Lisa Belyea, Brian Forest and Miranda Lundin. She also left behind her beloved dog Jada. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles; her parents; her grandson, Nick Belyea; brothers, Kenny, Eddie and Bobby and sisters Althea, Maxine and Donna.
