CARIBOU, Maine — There are four new graduates of the “Babies and Books” program at the Caribou Public Library, and they are Josiah Matthew Malave, Samuel Gomez, Laynee Kirby and Rider Voisine.

The Babies and Books Program, a collaboration between Cary Medical Center and the Friends of the Caribou Public Library, provides the family with their baby’s first library card, a variety of handouts that give tips and suggestions for age appropriate activities, a free board book, an invitation to attend “Mother Goose Time” and a certificate of completion when the child reaches 1 year old. At that time, a book is placed in the children’s section with the baby’s name in it, stating that they have completed the “Babies and Books Program.”
The spring session of Mother Goose Time will begin at the library on Tuesday, March 4 from 10-10:30 a.m. The program features stories, hand games, music, puppets and other age-appropriate activities. Mother Goose time is for children ages  birth to 18 months. Pre-registration is required; FMI 493-4214.
