HOULTON, Maine — The artwork of a Houlton High School student has once again been selected for a statewide campaign.
Taylor Barnes, a sophomore at the school, was one of 20 students from across Maine to be chosen for the Maine Learning Technology Initiative laptop screensaver for the 2013-14 school year.

Students whose artwork is selected receive free Student Conference registration and will have their artwork on the 2014-15 MLTI devices. Over the last five years, the MLTI device screen saver featured 80 outstanding student works of art (20 each year) with close to 2,000 pieces. Her artwork will also be featured on the “Big Screen” at the MLTI Student Conference to be held May 22, at the University of Maine, Orono.
Barnes is the second Houlton High School student to have her artwork selected for this honor. Two years ago, Amanda Fogarty’s photograph was featured.
The winners’ artwork is available for viewing at: http://www.maine.gov/mlti/about/photos .shtml.
