PRESQUE ISLE — If you love snowmobiles and are looking for something to do, then the Northern Maine Fairgrounds will be the place to be Saturday, March 15, as the Northern Maine Fair Association presents Frozen Motor Mayhem, a vintage snowmobile race featuring stock, modified and a 120cc kids class.
“This is a vintage snowmobile racing festival. We’ll have food vendors, a vintage snowmobile parade and swap meet, in addition to the featured activities,” said Rick Guerrette, member of the NMFA board of directors and one of the event organizers.
Anyone interested in participating, whether you’re a driver wanting to race or an owner of a classic machine that would like to show others what you have, contact the NMFA. There will be seven classes, including a 1973 and older single-cylinder stock division to the kids 120cc or smaller any-year sled.
Registration will take place 7:30-9 a.m., with races beginning at 10 a.m.
“Entrants will compete for $4,000 in total prize money,” said Guerrette.
