The Mapleton Methodist Youth Sunday School is hosting a spaghetti supper to benefit our local Red Cross Chapter to help our neighbors in need.
The supper will be this Saturday, March 22 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Mapleton United Methodist Church. The cost is by donation and all proceeds will go directly to the Red Cross. Everyone is welcome to come and support our county neighbors!

Happy anniversary this week to Frank and Gloria Clair on the 22nd.
Family Fitness Night
The Mapleton Parent Organization will be hosting a Family Fitness Night Friday, March 28 from 6-7:30 p.m. with karate by Andy LeBlanc, Zumba with Renee Ennis, and Togo with Julie French. This is a free event with participants getting a free bottle of water and a chance to win passes to the Maine Jump at the Aroostook Centre Mall or a water bottle.
MPO coming events
The Mapleton Parent Organization plans to host Maine children’s author Lynn Plourde Wednesday, April 30. The annual spring buy one, get one free Scholastic Book Fair will be May 2-9. Mark your calendars!
Town meeting
Chapman’s town meeting is Monday, March 24 and will be held at the Chapman Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club. The meeting begins at 7 p.m.
Bands needed
The Mapleton Daze Committee is looking for local bands that would like to participate in the annual parade for a “Battle of the Bands” contest. Participants will play and/or sing and be judged on their performance. Prizes will be awarded. Please contact Dena Easler at easler.dee45@gmail.com for more information and to register.
