“Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief” is a movie where a middle school kid finds out he is the son of Poseidon, the sea god and goes on a quest to save his mom from the underworld.
He meets new people along the way including Grover Underwood and Annabeth Chase and the not so friendly lord of the underworld Hades. When he finds out that someone has stolen Zeus’s lightning bolt, he goes on a quest. The only problem is that Luke the one who took the bolt hid the lightning bolt in the shield he gave Percy so Percy would get blamed, and to make matters worse when he gets the bolt Luke shows up and fights Percy for the bolt. Once Percey defeats Luke he turns in the bolt to Olympus and he gets ot meet his dad Poseidon at the same time Annabeth his friend gets to see her mom Athena the goddess of wisdom. Then Percy asks Zeus to bring back Grover because the pearls they had only transported one person and they had three pearls four people so Grover stayed.
Sea of Monsters
Percy, Annabeth, and his Cyclops brother, Tyson go on a quest to save camp with the magical golden fleece. They have trouble along the way including Grover getting kidnapped. Then they have to go and save everyone from Kronos who is so evil he ate his own kids, and Percy has the sword that struck first blood on him so he uses it to cut him down the middle and kill him. Percy first found out about Kronos when he heard prophecy.
The Prophecy reads, “A child of the eldest gods, shall reach sixteen against all odds, and see the world in endless sleep, hero’s soul, cursed blade shall reap, a single choice shall end his days, Olympus to preserve or raze.”
These are our favorite parts of the movie. Jordan’s favorite part is when the fleece resurrects Thalia, and Morgan’s favorite part is when Percy strikes Kronos with the cursed blade.
