Houlton High School Principal Marty Bouchard has announced that senior Joshua Sullivan, the son of Chris and Michelle Sullivan of Houlton, has been selected to receive the 2014 MPA Principal’s Award. The award, sponsored by the Maine Principals’ Association, is given in recognition of a high school senior’s academic achievement, outstanding school citizenship and leadership.

Bouchard describes Sullivan as “a wonderful young man who is very deserving of this award.” He added that “Josh’s academic achievement, school citizenship and involvement in numerous school activities makes him an extremely worthy candidate.”
Sullivan and Bouchard will join other award recipients and their principals from throughout the state at an Honors Luncheon to be in Bangor on Saturday, April 5. Honorees will be presented with a plaque and lapel pin and will be placed in a drawing for one of five $1,000 scholarships.
The Principal’s Award is presented in more than 140 public and private high schools throughout Maine by the Maine Principal’s Association, a professional association that represents Maine’s school administrators.
