    Birmingham, Barbara E., 80, March 15, 2014.  Interment held in the Calvary Cemetery.  Arrangements by A.T. Hutchins Funeral Home, Portland.

    PT-BarbaraBirminghamOBSurrounded by her family, Barbara E. Birmingham passed away on March 15, 2014, after a short illness. She will be sadly missed by all.
    She was born on December 29, 1933, and adopted by Martin H. and Ellen Quinn Cavanagh of Portland, Maine. She was a graduate of Deering High School class of 1954, where she enjoyed being a majorette.
    In 1955, she married  Vincent Montefusco, who predeceased her in 1966. In 1969, she married Wayne H. Birmingham, of Patten, who predeceased her in 2002. While living in Patten, she spent most of her years as a mom and wife, later enjoying a position as an Ed Tech at the Patten Primary Schools for ten years. She lived in Patten through 2002, at which time she returned to Portland to be with her loved ones.
    She is survived by sons Joseph Montefusco and wife Amy of Portland, Marty Birmingham and wife Jessica of Saco, daughters Ellen Kelly and husband Michael of Saco, Angela Nealey and husband Gary of Gorham and Sonya Pearson and husband Dan of Rumford; nine grand-children; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her son, Wayne H. Birmingham Jr. and her grandson, Gary (2E) Nealey.
    Her wishes were for no funeral or wake services. A memorial celebration will be held in the chapel at St. Joseph’s Rehabilitation and Residence, 1133 Washington Avenue, Portland at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014. No flowers, please, but donations are suggested for Hospice of Southern Maine. Burial has taken place at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by A.T.
