HOULTON – It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Lois Ann Adams, who died March 23, 2014, after a long illness with her family by her side. Born in Houlton August 9, 1931, Lois was the daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy Guy of Houlton, ME.
She was a member of the Houlton Wesleyan Church. Lois was a loving gift to all who knew her. She gave us all such courage and hope and reminded us of the preciousness of life. She would spend hours with those she loved so much. She served and gave thanks to God every day and her faith never faltered.
She is survived by three sons, William Adams, Jr. of Goldsboro, NC, Gerald Adams of Houlton, Terrance Adams of Sebring, FL, and one daughter, Deborah Brewer of Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; a brother, Wendell Guy of Houlton; two sisters, Mary Benge of Fridley, MN and Pamela Crouse of Chicago, IL.
Lois was pre-deceased by her husband, William; daughter, Nancy (Adams) Toner; son, Larry; father, Gordon Guy; mother, Dorothy Guy; and several brothers, Merlin Guy, Gareth Guy and Leverette Guy.
Visitation for Mrs. Adams will take place at Dunn Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 7 – 9 p.m. Funeral services will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating. Reception will follow at the Houlton Wesleyan Church, Kelleran Street. Interment will be in the New Limerick Cemetery.
