PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A fire reported Sunday evening at a Micmac Drive residence caused damage to a bedroom and its contents.
“The call came in around 8 p.m. March 23. We responded to 53 Micmac Drive with a crew and Engine 2,” said Fire Chief Darrell White, of the Presque Isle Fire Department.
White said the resident, Roger McDonald, and two adult children, Blair McDonald and Travis McDonald, were not injured.
“The fire occurred in the son’s bedroom. We were able to keep it confined to that room. Damage was limited to the bedroom and its contents,” said the chief.
Firefighters were on scene until about 9:49 p.m.
“The fire marshal was brought in to investigate. The blaze was determined to be accidental in nature — an unintentional fire,” said White.
White did not know if the home was insured or who owned the property. No other injuries were reported.
