    EASTON – Dana W. Tompkins, 68, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2014, at Portland, with his loving mother by his side. The son of Herman Tompkins and Mabel (Drost) Tompkins, he was born in Mars Hill, on August 20, 1945. He enjoyed watching TV, looking at his many picture books, taking rides in his van, and expressing his sense of humor.
    He is survived by his mother, Mabel; his brother, Ronald of Overland Park KA; his sisters, Helene and her husband, Tom of Lewiston, Linda and her husband, Phil of Fort Fairfield, Sharon of Portland, Wanda and her husband, Norman of Eddington, and Carol and her husband, Geoff of Kenne-bunk; several nieces, nephews and great-nephews.
    He was predeceased by his father, Herman; and his brother, Gary.
    Interment will be private in the spring at Pine Tree Cemetery in Easton. Arrangements are under the care of Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St., Portland, ME.
