Rec teams end regular season

    PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — In grades 5-6 recreation regular season basketball played at the William Haskell Community Center, Paige McHatten scored 10 points, Taylor Guerrette added eight and Lily Wardwell notched six in a 30-16 victory by the Storm over the Sparks. Lizzy Nadeau scored 14 to lead the Sparks.

    Also in girls’ action, Alana Legasse scored 21 points and Elise Nelson added five in a 30-22 victory by the Lynx over the Storm. Guerrette scored 10 points and Jenna Sargent added seven for the Storm.

    The Storm used a basket by Guerrette with four seconds left in a 19-18 win over the Liberty. Guerrette finished with 13 points, while Taylor Fancy netted four more in the win. Hattie Bubar scored seven points, Alli Lovely four and Sabrina Sperry netted her first-ever hoop for the Liberty.

    The Lynx tripped up the Sparks, 46-14, behind Legassie’s 26 points and 16 more by Meg Casavant. Erica Rosten, Kacie Chapman and Nadeau scored four apiece in the loss.

    The Lynx stopped the Liberty, 28-20, behind Casavant’s 16 points. Trombley and Bubar had eight each for the Liberty.

    Trombley scored eight points and Kassie Rouch and Bubar four each as the Liberty outlasted the Sparks, 21-15. Kayla Williams added her first points of the season for the winners, while Nadeau scored 10 to lead the Sparks.

    Legasse poured in 20 points in a 27-16 Lynx win over the Storm. Guerrette and McHatten had six points each for the Storm.

    The Storm doubled up on the Liberty, 26-13, behind Guerrette’s 16 points. McHatten had her team’s other 10 points, while Trombley netted nine for the Liberty.

    The Lynx closed out the regular season with a 37-17 win over the Sparks. Legassie scored 21 points and Casavant and Nelson added six each for the victors.

    In boys’ play, the Clippers slid past the Heat, 25-19, led by Jacob Devine and Chance Bragan, who scored 10 and nine points, respectively. Ricky Goupille had 10 points and Noah Flynn nine to provide the Heat with all its offense.

    The Bulls ran past the Celtics, 47-12, behind Jacob Bonville’s 20 points. Colby Buckley and Austin Pictou both added 10 for the winners and Garrett Caron chipped in with seven. Gavin Akeley had six to lead the Celts.

    The Thunder used Braedon Sargent’s 14 points to lead a 30-19 win over the Heat. Nathan Willett added 10 for the winners, while Flynn scored 10 and Goupille eight to pace the Heat attack.

    The Clippers nipped the Bulls, 28-27, as Sam Beaulieu had 14 points and Bragan six to lead the charge. Buckley had 11 points and Bonville notched eight for the Bulls.

    The Clippers beat the Celtics, 36-12, as Cody Barnes and Bragan scored 10 each to lead the way.

    Sargent had 20 points and Willett added 17 in the Thunder’s 39-30 triumph over the Bulls. Jacob Bonville scored 22 for the Bulls.

    Flynn poured in a season-high 24 points in his Heat team’s 46-26 win over the Celtics. Zack Fletcher added 14 for the victors, while Colby Bonville scored 14 points and Mason Fletcher and Akeley six each to pace the Celtics.

    The  Clippers came through with a 32-29 victory over the Celtics behind 12 points each by Devine and Beaulieu. Colby Bonville’s 15 was tops for the Celts.

    The Heat bested the Thunder, 38-18, with Goupille and Flynn scoring 14 points each for the winners and Willett’s 12 points leading the Thunder.

    Flynn scored 12 points as the Heat upset the Clippers, 23-16. Beaulieu netted 10 for the Clippers.

    Jacob Bonville’s game-high 21 points, along with 18 more from Buckley, helped the Bulls beat the Celtics, 51-20. Bryce Bonville had six points for the Green.

    The Celtics earned their first win of the season as they got past the Thunder, 37-30. Akeley and Colby Bonville had 14 and 11 points, respectively, for the winners, while Willett and Jude Mosher scored 13 and 12, respectively, for the Thunder.

    The Bulls were 28-26 winners over the Clippers behind Jacob Bonville’s 21 points. Beaulieu had eight for the Clips.

    The Bulls scored a 30-23 win over the Thunder, with Jacob Bonville again leading the charge with 16 points. Willett had 14 and Josiah Washington added five for the Thunder.

    In the final regular season boys’ game, the Heat stopped the Celtics, 35-26, behind Goupille’s season-high 18 points and 15 more from Zack Fletcher. Joe Bolstridge was the Celtics’ lone double-digit scorer with 12.
