Houlton Rotary Club hosts Bingo night Thursday

The Houlton Rotary Club will be hosting its sixth annual Bingo evening at St. Anthony’s Hall at 110 Military St. tomorrow night (Thursday), with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
Early birds can start at 6:30 p.m. and regular games will be at 7 p.m.

Participation in this event supports the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, which was established in Houlton in 2003. Once again the Rotary club will be sending two students from area schools on a six- to eight-week adventure that could not happen without the support of the community.
“These two students will experience a once-in-a-lifetime trip to a foreign country of their choice to gain an understanding of how people on other continents live, work and play,” said Jane Torres, Houlton Chamber of Commerce director and Rotarian.
Through the generous donations of area businesses Rotary Bingo Night will offer $1,700 in payouts.
“We also have some members who are amazing cooks and there will be a large assortment  of food guaranteed to please,” added Torres. “Come early to ensure a good spot, enjoy some great food then take your time setting up your ‘lucky’ zone.”
