The Oakfield Senior Citizens met March 19 at the Smoki-Haulers Snowmobile Club in Oakfield for the group’s final meeting of the month.
After enjoying another potluck luncheon, president Bob Locke called the business meeting to order with The Lord’s Prayer and our country’s Flag Salute. The usual reports were read and accepted and Happy Birthday was sung to those celebrating March birthdays.
Naci Fowler was the 50/50 winner. We had our first discussion about the destination of our annual bus trip but still have time to make a final decision. Bring your ideas to our next meeting.
Locke brought his karaoke machine and sang several of the good old Irish songs, which we all joined in singing. Attending were: Juanita Wiggin, Tessie Barrett, Kathleen Boutilier, Sharon Anderson, Bill Dill, Bernice Campbell, Jeanne Clements, Alma Clark, George Barrow, Earl and Lottie Doughty, Arlene Friel, Naci Fowler, Marie Gillotti, Bob and Delores Locke, Wannetta Townsend, Don and Charlotte Marley.
Oakfield Senior Citizens meet the first and third Wednesday of each month, luncheon is at 11:30 a.m. followed by a business meeting and entertainment. Come and join us. For more information call Delores Locke 757-8478.
