CARIBOU, Maine — Students of the Month were recently announced for the Caribou Middle School, and they are Chelsea Levesque, Aidan Plante, Nick Guerrette, Aaron Macek, Ashley Matlock and Meagan Dube as February’s Students of the Month.
Teachers say that Chelsea Levesque is a very dedicated student. “She is very conscientious about her studies, and works very hard to ensure her assignments are completed thoroughly,” they said, adding that she works very well with others, and is always considerate and kind with her peers. She has a ‘can-do’ attitude and never hesitates to help students or teachers whenever she can. She enjoys sports such as soccer and tennis, and has participated in rec basketball. “Whether it’s during school or in her spare time, Chelsea is very much a ‘team player’ and is appreciated for her positive mindset,” her teachers said.
Aidan Plante is involved in athletics at CMS as he ran cross country during the fall months, and is now on the cross country ski team. “He is very well liked by his teachers due to his willingness to help out both students and staff,” his teachers said. “Aidan gives his best effort in everything that he does. He is a wonderful school citizen.”
The Caribou Middle School seventh-grade teachers have chosen Nick Guerrette and Aaron Macek as Students of the Month for February.
The teachers said that Nick Guerrette is an outstanding school citizen who is always working hard in class. “Nick shows the utmost kindness to his peers and is always willing to help others,” they described. “He is conscientious, on task, and always prepared. Nick quietly goes about his daily work, but his efforts have not gone unnoticed.”
Aaron Macek is a very bright young man and takes great pride in his academics, according to his teachers, and he is an active participant in all aspects of Caribou Middle School. “Aaron is a member of the CMS strings program, cross country, cross county ski, and track and field teams,” his teachers described, adding that he also takes part in the Gifted and Talented program. “Aaron is a leader in the classroom and is always lending a hand to someone in need. The seventh-grade team is proud of Nick and Aaron and we recognize their efforts.”
The eighth-grade teachers at Caribou Middle School have selected Ashley Matlock and Meagan Dube as February’s Students of the Month. According to her teachers, Ashley Matlock is an active member of the CMS community. She loves playing soccer and basketball, and currently plays on the AYBL. basketball team as well as being an active member of the CMS Band. “Ashley enjoys reading and hanging out with her friends and family in her free time,” her teachers said. “Ashley is an excellent member of our school community and is always ready and willing to help a peer or staff member.”
Meagan Dube was chosen because of her positive attitude toward her schoolwork, classes, teachers, and classmates, according to her teachers. “Meagan is a very active student at CMS participating in jazz band, show choir, chorus, band, and student organization,” her teachers said. “She is also very involved in athletics having been on the soccer and basketball teams.” In the community, Meagan is an active member of a local Girl Scout troop, an altar server at church, and also volunteers many hours for other local service organizations, according to her teachers. “Meagan is a great example for all at Caribou Middle School with her fabulous work ethic, and treatment of others,” her teacher said. “She is a true role model.”
