     FAULKNER, Vernie S., 94, WADE, at Caribou, March 30, 2014. Services will be held later in the spring at a date announced in the Bangor Daily News by Mockler Funeral Home. Arrangements are in care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.

    WADE – Vernie S. Faulkner, 94, loving husband of 75 years to Bessie “Betty” (Kinney) Faulkner and father to his only child, Pauline, passed from this life on March 30, 2014, at Caribou. He was born December 15, 1919, the son of the late John Freeman and Nellie (Day) Faulkner in Woodland.
    He lived life to the fullest, loving and enjoying many relatives and friends. He was a caring “people person”, a hard worker, lover of the outdoors, with a sense of humor and a good natured outlook. Those he knew or those he just met enjoyed his stories and sense of fun.
    Mr. Faulkner was predeceased by his parents, six brothers and six sisters. He is survived by his wife, Betty, and their daughter, Pauline, both of Wade, and numerous nieces and nephews.
