The University of Maine at Fort Kent Environmental Studies Speaker Series will host a presentation by Amanda DeMusz on Friday, April 18, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Nadeau Hall teleconference room. DeMusz will speak on the topic of black bear management in Maine. The presentation is free and open to the public.
DeMusz is an assistant regional biologist for the Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife, Region G (Ashland) since 2013.
Her duties include: conducting wildlife surveys on a broad range of species in Region G; collecting biological data from harvested animals: managing animal and predator control programs; mapping and monitoring critical habitats; environmental reviewing; managing and maintaining wildlife management areas; and participating in public relations activities and interagency cooperatives.
