Purple Hat Ladies met in Oakfield at “A Place to Eat,” on Tuesday, April 8. Sixteen ladies were present with Lois Jeffery of Houlton as a guest. Charlotte Marley was wearing “another purple hat” and was greeting everyone.
Wannetta Townsend gave the blessing before the meal. Name tags were distributed. Gift recipients of the month were Sandy Wyman and Marsha Reed. Arlene Friel and Cindy Gray had special readings that pleased the ladies. Charlotte, leader, also had a poem.
Attending were Charlotte Marley, Betty Wyman, Marsha Reed, Wannetta Townsend, and Arlene Friel. Also, Cindy Gray, Delores Locke, Sandy Wyman, Marie Gillotti, and Millie Gagnon.
