PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — Maine Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi met for breakfast April 12 at the Presque Isle Inn and Convention Center.
President Nancy Nichols conducted the business meeting. Members donated items for Easter baskets to be given to children at the homeless shelter. The service committee met at the home of Honey Higgins to assemble the baskets. It was decided that members will bring non-perishable pasta products for area food pantries to the next meeting.
Dolores Hutchins gave an update on final plans for the Founder’s Day banquet, which will be held April 24 at the Northeastland Hotel. Betsy Fitzherbert thanked the chapter for its help in making the Miss Presque Isle Pageant, held March 29, a huge success.
It was voted to accept the slate of officers for 2014-15 and the installation ceremony will be held at the next meeting, which is set for May 15 at the home of Pam Palm.
