The Presque Isle Recreation Department is offering a full lifeguard course, to be held April 21-24 at the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s Gentile Hall pool from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. all four days.
Registration must be completed in person at the William Haskell Community Center, located on Main Street in Presque Isle, by Friday, April 18 and the cost is $175. Participants must pass the following pre-requisites: 300-yard swim, timed brick swim and two minutes treading water.
The department is also offering a lifeguard recertification course on Tuesday, April 22. The course will also be held at Gentile Hall from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Registration must be completed in person at the community center by Friday, April 18 and the cost is $75.
