During an evening ceremony on Tuesday, March 4, seven new members were inducted into the Easton Junior Senior High School National Honor Society.
The ceremony began with an invocation given by junior Kylee Carter. Chapter president Cassandra Buck, serving as mistress of ceremonies, welcomed family, friends and faculty to the evening.
The NHS members were excited to welcome Terry Clark as an honorary member of the Easton Chapter. Clark was inducted into the chapter because of his support of the NHS and to honor his dedication to the Easton School Department.
During the ceremony, State President Joshuah Salkind and Northern Region President Cameron Young reported on the progress of the state and regional service projects. Also during the ceremony, Carter shared her state candidate speech.
Inducted were sophomores Emma Bonner, Logan Halvorson and Drew Sotomayor; juniors Cody Embelton, Madison Shaw and Kalie Ward; and senior Colby Pangburn. After the new members received their membership pins and certificates, all the Easton members presented a yellow rose to their parents to show their love and appreciation for their support.
