Ricker Rumblings

It’s past Easter, but not the season so here is my wish for everybody. May the Holy season be with you all the days of your life.
We had a wonderful session of “A Matter of Balance,” with Dottie Sines of Presque Isle and Cheryl Driscoll. It’s an eight-week course. I took it here at Ricker Plaza and asked how long ago that was. The answer was 10 years! Where does the time go? We learned a lot of facts about balance and more to come with our workshop papers. It is not too late to come, so it is every Friday morning at Ricker Plaza. Come and learn.
One of our ladies informed me she had a few days at the hospital but is now better. The informant was Jeannie Hall and she also said Paul Armstrong has been hospitalized recently. Paul is also better and this pair has had their on again and off again with the hospital trips.
I could not believe the covering of new snow on the cars and ground on Wednesday of last week. Thank you, Lord, for not letting the snow stay. It, the snow, is beginning to leave us.
Kathryn Hall of Brewer has been visiting me but has returned to her work at Bangor. I missed the dinner at Ricker on Friday, but I hear it was very good. Usually I attend all the functions at Ricker, but this one was an exception.
It is a nice sunny day here as this is written on Saturday. Jeannie Hall will go to New Hampshire or (she may have left already) to help celebrate a 50th anniversary of a friend.
My day was made recently when I received in the mail a nice hand written note from a weekly reader informing me of her gratitude of my column, Ricker Rumblings. Thank you, friend.
My angel reflection is: “Keep watch, dear Lord, with those who work or watch, or weep this night, and give your angels charge over those who sleep.” (Christian Prayer)
Have a wonderful Easter season.
