KOCH, Ida Mae, 76, PRESQUE ISLE, April 20, 2014. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Presque Isle. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.
PRESQUE ISLE – Ida Mae Koch, 76, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014, at the Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle. She was born in Presque Isle on October 10, 1937, the daughter of Kenneth and Bertha (Bourgoin) Murchison. She was a graduate of Mapleton High School. Ida worked for Zayre Dept. Store for 24 years, VIP Auto Parts Store, and The Aroostook Centre Mall.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Edward J. Koch of Presque Isle; three sons, Dennis Koch of Commerce, TX, Edward Koch Jr. and his companion, Lori McIntyre of Presque Isle, David Koch and his wife, Angel of Washburn; a daughter, Debbie Thibodeau and her husband, Ryan of Bangor; a brother, Gerald Murchison and his wife, Linda of Presque Isle; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie and Beatrice; seven grandchildren, Jessica Dahms, Jon, Joshua, Kolby, Darbie, Delancy and Tucker Koch; two great-grandchildren, Chase and Julia Levasseur; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; mother-in-law, Elma Sites; four sisters and five brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood with Raymond Morency, Celebrant. Friends called 6-8 p.m., Tuesday evening at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle. Interment will be at Fairmount Cemetery later this spring.
