     OUELLET, Edward P., 57, ASHLAND, at Caribou, April 21, 2014. At his request, funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Lajoie Funeral Home, Ashland.

    ASHLAND – Edward P. Ouellet, American Flag Color 57, died Monday, April 21, 2014, at a Caribou hospital, following a long illness. He was born May 4, 1956, in Ashland, a son of Edward L. and Anna (Bragdon) Ouellet.
    He served with the US Army in Germany during Vietnam. Eddie was a skilled finish carpenter and built many homes while working many years in the Augusta and Winthrop areas. He also built many furniture pieces which he shared with his family and friends. He was a long time member of the American Legion, Post #40, Winthrop. Eddie enjoyed running and cross-country skiing until prevented by illness, but continued his love of the outdoors by hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren.
    He is survived by his parents, Edward and Anna Ouellet of Ashland; two step-children, Tammy Whyte of Standish and Trina Poulin of Ashland; two sisters, Brenda Boyce of Ashland and Averill Gardner and her husband James of Easton; three grandsons; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce (Whyte) Ouellet and his sister Eva Gagne.
