CARIBOU – Sylvia H. Plourde, 61, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2014, at Eastern Maine Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 25, 1953, the daughter of Harold and Claudine (Haley) Anderson.
Sylvia enjoyed her home at Madawaska Lake where she spent many hours gardening, kayaking, drawing, and painting. She looked forward to the beautiful sunsets, country living, and spending time with loved ones. Sylvia adored and was highly dedicated to her two sons, Rob and Andrew and her grandchildren, Evan and Caitlyn.
She is survived by her son, Robert Plourde and his wife, Catherine, along with her grandchildren, Evan and Caitlyn of Durham, NH, and son, Andrew Plourde and his fiancé, Ashley Strait of Matthews, NC. She is also survived by her special sister and brother-in-law, Claudia and Bill Sealander of Caribou; a special aunt, Reta Haley of Caribou; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, Harold and Claudine (Haley) Anderson; and sisters, Judy Rideout and Janet Bouchard.
Friends and family called from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover St., Caribou, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 1 p.m., Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. A reception will follow services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in her memory to Cary Medical Center.
