STACYVILLE – Margaret McLellan, 84, died April 24, 2014 at home in Brooks. She was born July 15, 1929, in Wallagrass, the daughter of Cecile (Belanger) and Johnny Douston.
She worked at Patten Mill and cleaned houses until retirement.
She is survived by four children, Verna and her husband, Herb Willette, of Patten, Harvey and his wife, Pauletta McLellan, of Ashland, Sandra and her husband, Paul Qualey, of Sherman, Paula Roberts and her companion, Doug Wescott, of Brooks; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Trease Aube of New Hampshire and Bernie Dressell of Cincinnati; brother, Joseph Douston; several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents; a brother, Gilman; and sister, Cecilia McLellan.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 3 at the Stacyville Cemetery with Cary Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may donate to the Waldo County Home Health and Hospice Services, P.O. Box 407, Belfast ME 04915.
