PT-Donald-ScottLINNEUS – Donald W. Scott, 52, passed away May 4, 2014. He was born August 21, 1961, in Houlton, the son of Donald D. and Linda (Stewart) Scott.
Donald was a hard working man who always worked outside. Growing up as a child in Linneus, he would pick potatoes, like most County children of that time, and worked in the woods with his father. At the age of 15, Donald started working for a Christmas tree farm which he later purchased. His woods business started with one skidder which he purchased in his young twenties and then he added a self loader. His business grew from there to become S.T.F. Inc. Donald loved his children and worked hard to provide for them. His love for the outdoors included a passion for hunting and fishing. Donald, his sons, and his brothers always liked to compete amongst themselves during these seasons.
Besides his mother of Linneus, he is survived by his wife, Doris (Gartner) Scott of Linneus; four children, Fay Roussel of Grand Lake Stream, Donald R. Scott, Daniel Janus, and Amelia Scott, all of Linneus; two granddaughters, Emma and Meghan; brothers and sisters, Pam Scott, Danny and Tammy Scott, Gary and Donna Scott, David Scott, John and Margaret Scott, all of Linneus. He was predeceased by his father.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. on Friday, May 9 at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water Street, Houlton.  Graveside funeral services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Linneus Cemetery with Rev. Rick Murray officiating.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.  For an online memory book and to leave condolences please visit www.bowersfuneral.com.
