    BANGOR, PA & PRESQUE ISLE, ME – Mildred Cray Liakakes, 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, at her home in Bangor, PA. She was born on Nov. 7, 1924, in Presque Isle, ME, the daughter of Judson and Mary Eva Cray.
    She married Odysseus A. Liakakes in 1944, and moved to New York City. After her retirement, she relocated to Burlington, VT, where she volunteered as a Foster Grandparent in the public schools. In 2012, she moved to Bangor, PA, to live with her daughter, Demetra.
    She is survived by her four children, Athena (Tom) Struss, Demetra (Robert) Fales, Deena (Gary) Stevenson, Phillip (Gerrie) Liakakes; nine grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Esther Lyford and Elaine Russell; and brother, Gerald Cray.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Odysseus A. Liakakes of Athens, Greece, in 1967.
    A Funeral Service was held on Dec. 27, 2013, in Barre, VT. Her burial service will take place on May 17, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the Fairmont Cemetery in Presque Isle, ME.
