Pitch, Hit & Run scheduled Saturday
The Presque Isle Recreation and Parks Department’s annual Pitch, Hit & Run competition will be held Saturday, May 10 at 9 a.m. at the pool field. Ages 7-14 are welcome and age is determined as of July17, 2014). There are four different age categories, with girls competing separately from boys, and they are as follows: 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, and 13-14. This event is free and registration will take place upon arrival.
Mother-son dance
The recreation department’s annual Mother/Son dance will be held on May 16 at 7 p.m. at the community center. The fee for this event is $7 per couple with an additional fee for pictures. Tickets can be purchased beginning May 12 or at the door on the evening of the dance.
Roller hockey
The recreation department, along with the Presque Isle Youth Hockey Association, will be starting a roller hockey league for ages 5-12. Registration will run until May 21 and will be held at the community center, with a fee of $25 for Presque Isle residents. The season will get under way May 29 at the Forum. Hershey Track and Field
The recreation department began registration for Hershey Track & Field and sign-ups will end May 14. This program is for youth ages 9 (as of December 31, 2014) to 14 and the fee is $25 for local residents.
