To the editor:
I know I speak for many people when I recall Camille Bossie’s tremendous impact on our community as the driver of Bus No. 6 for the Caribou School Department for over 20 years. He passed away April 23, 2014.
What made Mr. Bossie so special? In a nutshell he was such a gentle soul, kind, sweet, always smiling and he truly loved his job! Parents entrusted him with their children and he didn’t take that task lightly. He truly cared about the children he was responsible for in getting them to school and returning them home safely.
Mr. Bossie always had a piece of candy for the kids and their favorite tradition of all … he treated all of “his kids” to an ice cream at Burger Boy on the last day of school each year. He remembered just about everyone who ever rode his bus and always had a smile for them.
How fitting that he will be laid to rest in the Old Holy Rosary Cemetery, he went by it every day on his bus route for over 20 years. Rest in Peace Mr. Bossie! You have touched lives of many … just by being you.
