AUGUSTA, Maine — During the Governor’s Awards for Service and Volunteerism ceremony held April 17 in Augusta, the names of 511 individuals that were inducted to the Volunteer Roll of Honor were on display. During the past year, each of the individuals contributed 500 hours or more to various worthwhile programs.
Among those being named to the 2014 Volunteer Roll of Honor list were Avis Ford of Blaine, who contributed 1,036 hours; Randy Hewitt of Perham, 1,646; Patsy Delong, 528, Rolinda Fowler, 585, Yvonne Mceachern, 1,040, Yvonne U. McEachern, 1,182, and Luella White, 951, all of Presque Isle; Anna Barnes, 1,040, Minnie Butler, 867, Lucy Shrout, 739, Winnie Theriault, 1,737, and Marion Wortman, 801, all of Fort Fairfield; and Galen Kennedy of Mapleton, 647.
