Diaferio promoted
Anthony Diaferio of Island Falls has been promoted to the rank of Private First Class with the 488th Military Police Company. Brig. Gen. James D. Campbell, the Adjutant General for Maine, announced the promotion March 21.
Hudson graduates
U.S. Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Joshua L. Hudson recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Hudson is the son of Robin L. Hudson and grandson of Hazel and Arthur Gerow, all of Hodgdon. He is a 2013 graduate of Hodgdon High School.
