    O’Roak, Joan, 85, May 17, 2014.  Calling hours are today from 12 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. at Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman.  Interment to be held in the Sherman Cemetery.

    SHERMAN – Joan O’Roak, 85, died May 17, 2014, in Sherman. She was born Nov. 17, 1928 in Sherman, the daughter of Ray and Emily (Sides) Ingraham.
    She was a past member of Molunkus Valley Fish & Game Club, snow sled club, where she was secretary; was a member of Washburn Memorial Church, the Washburn Womans Club, and also a Deaconess, member and Past Matron of OES Molunkus Valley Chapter #95, the Noel Club, Sherman Senior Citizens, and she worked for VNA.
    She is survived by seven children, Clayton and his wife, Elizabeth O’Roak of Orrington, Rebecca and her husband, Tom Guiggey of Sherman, Paul and his wife, Debbie O’Roak of Sherman, Jymme O’Roak of Hudson, Holly McNally of Sherman, Wade and his wife, Debbie O’Roak of Sherman and Wendy and her husband, Rodney Anderson of Patten; 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Harris of Sherman; two brothers, Carl Ingraham of Huron, Ohio and Lawrence Ingraham of Benicia, Calif.; several in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins; two special friends, Helen Duguay and Virginia Clement; and her girls, Doreen Leach and Karen McGraw. She was pre-deceased by her parents; her husband, Wilfred; and a son-in-law, Kenneth McNally.
    Friends may call 12-2 p.m. Wednesday at the Washburn Memorial Church, Sherman, with a funeral service being held at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Dan Proulx officiating, in conjunction with OES Services. Interment will be in the Sherman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Order of Eastern Star Bible fund, care of Wendy Anderson, 130 Lovejoy Road, Patten, ME 04765.
