     DROST, Judith Rae, 68, Presque Isle, May 18, 2014. A memorial service for family and friends will be held 11 a.m., Sat., June 7, 2014, at Mapleton Baptist Church. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, Presque Isle.

    PRESQUE ISLE – Judith Rae Drost, 68, died Sunday May 18, 2014, at The Aroostook Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born on June 8, 1945, in Fort Fairfield, the daughter of Rex and Berneice (Allen) Burns.
    She graduated from Fort Fairfield High School, class of 1963, with many scholastic awards. Judy worked as a bookkeeper for her family construction business for 40 years. She loved her work very much, and enjoyed doing needlepoint, knitting, and crocheting. She was very passionate toward animals and helped support The Central Aroostook Humane Society.
    She is survived by her loving husband, Ernest “Ernie” C. Drost, cabinet maker and builder of Presque Isle; a sister, Anne Spittle; a niece, Leslie Ann Stewart, both of Ashford, WA; granddaughters, Rachel Rae Drost of Presque Isle, Shiloe and Hannah Drost of Bangor; three great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Tracy Drost;  special step-grandson, James Cooper of Presque Isle; two special cats, Baby Kitty and Baby; two special friends, Tom Bird of Presque Isle, and Alden Swanson of Mapleton.
    Many thanks to Rev. Ken Phelps, and special thanks to Dr. Kirsanov and the many dedicated and loving nurses in the critical care unit at TAMC, Judy’s last home before passing on to a better life with her son, “Cobby”, mother and sister, who predeceased her.
    A memorial service for family and friends will be held 11 a.m., Sat., June 7, 2014, at Mapleton Baptist Church with Dr. Rev. Kenneth Phelps officiating. Friends may call 10 a.m., until time of service at the church.
