CARIBOU — To raise money for Project Grad 2014, students and local community members will once again hit the stage to dance like stars and raise funds for graduating seniors and to help Catholic Charities with their mission to Feed the County.
Nine dancing duos will be performing this year for the Sunday, June 1 show. Tickets are $5 and doors open at 6 for the 6:30 p.m. show at the Caribou Performing Arts Center.
As funds generated through the annual Dancing Like a Star show will be split between Project Grad and Catholic Charities, spectators are encouraged to vote generously for their favorite performers; audience members will be given an envelope upon entering the auditorium, and every dollar the performers raise counts as one vote toward winning the annual competition.
Nine Caribou High School students have selected nine good-spirited community members to showcase their dancing talents while contributing to the worthy area causes.
Performers are, by student and adult volunteer:
• Delaney Williams and Karlyn Williams;
• Nick Jackson and Erica Raymond;
• Samantha Camy and Dr. Claude Boma;
• Emma Jandreau and Kenneth Atcheson;
• Alyssa St. Peter and Dixie Shaw;
• Molly Adams and Shelly Richardson;
• Jessika Kovach and Karen Ouellette; and
• Julia Harris and Evan Graves.
• Chaya Karunasiri and Stephen Burden
All are invited to participate in the event that makes sure to keep the fun in fund-raising.
