MAPLETON NEWS

The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society has held three meetings so far in 2014. The main topic of discussion has been how to raise funds to keep the society going.
The group will be holding a raffle on a gift basket containing many items from local sponsors. Tickets will be sold by members and at local businesses.
To date, the society needs $1,635 to cover its annual expenses — $1,000 for insurance, $400 for fuel, $200 for lights and $35 for tax-exempt status. This year the major repair work will be done to the front porch with an estimated cost of nearly $900. The society is struggling with only seven working members and has a difficult time holding a large function for fundraising. At the same time, funds are running low.
Would you please consider becoming a member for $15 per year or make a lifetime commitment as an individual for $100 or $150 per couple? Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month February through November for about an hour. Monetary donations are also welcome! Your support is desperately needed to preserve this 110-year-old building for future generations.
