Inaugural hall class announced

    FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — The inaugural class of Fort Fairfield High School’s Athletic Hall of Fame has been announced.
The 17-member selection committee had 68 initial nominations to research for its inaugural class from over a 100-year history of athletics at the school, with 13 individuals selected for induction.
The hall of fame has three categories for selection that includes athletes, coaches and contributors.
Being inducted as athletes are Delmar “Chappy” Clark, Richard Cormier, Keith Mahaney, Hilary McNamee, Ralph Michaud, Jr., Tim Nightingale and Thomas Towle. The coaches are Kenneth Clark,  Larry Gardner, Dallas McCrea and Jeanette Peters, while Charles Lockhart and Lawrence A. Gardner enter as contributors.
The induction ceremony will be held at FFHS Thursday, July 17 and will coincide with Maine Potato Blossom Festival week.
