PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A day of fun is planned for Saturday, May 31, at Mantle Lake Park, hosted by the Presque Isle Elks.
The annual Hooked on Fishing event is an ideal opportunity to introduce children and grandchildren to the recreational activity that will last a lifetime.
There will be a dunking booth featuring Police Chief Matt Irwin. Cost is $1 for an attempt to dunk the chief, with proceeds benefiting the Maine Children’s Cancer Program.
Other fun festivities, including a cookout, will take place as well. All are invited to this fun event, which teaches children that getting ‘hooked on fishing, not on drugs’ is the way to go. For more information, call the Elks at 768-0985.
