BLAINE, Maine — Police are continuing to investigate a rollover that occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday.

“Matthew Tweedie, 26, of Blaine, was traveling east on the Pierce Road around 12:05 a.m. on May 25 when he lost control of his 2006 Ford pick-up truck and left the roadway. Tweedie struck a telephone pole and his truck rolled over, coming to rest on its roof in the woods,” said Sgt. Josh Haines, of the Maine State Police.
Trooper Rob Flynn was assigned to investigate.
“Tweedie suffered minor injuries and was transported to The Aroostook Medical Center by Trooper Flynn, who investigated the crash,” said Haines.
Haines said the crash remains under investigation, with speed and alcohol being considered possible factors. Haines noted a seatbelt was used and the airbags deployed. Charges may follow, pending further investigation.
