OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Six members of the University of Maine at Presque Isle baseball team have received recognition from the Association of Division III Independents.
Making the first team from the Owls were senior pitcher Dylan Worster of Howland, senior second baseman Justin Bergeron of Tiverton, R.I. and senior outfielder Josiah Brazier of Searsport.
Earning berths on the second team were senior third baseman Cam Morrell of Harpswell, sophomore shortstop Adam Begos of Westbrook and senior catcher Alex Csiernik of Hamilton, Ontario.
The Association of Division III Indepen-dents consists of seven Division III independent institutions that have joined together to recognize student-athletes at independent institutions, and to provide exempted postseason championship competition.
