KeyBank announces leadership transition

KeyBank announced that Cheri L. Doak has been named senior vice president and market leader for Aroostook County. In this position, she is responsible for overseeing the Business Banking, Commercial Banking and Retail teams, providing financial solutions to businesses throughout the state. She is located at KeyBank’s Presque Isle office at 774 Maine Street.

Doak joined KeyBank in 1989, working early on as a management trainee and loan officer. Most recently, she was senior vice president and senior business service officer, KeyBank N.A. Doak fills this new position upon the departure of Steve Gagnon, who recently announced his retirement after 36 years with KeyBank.
“Steve has been an incredible asset to our team, and we’re grateful for his 36 years of devoted service,” noted Sterling Kozlowski, regional sales executive, New England Region, and president, Maine Market, KeyBank. “While we’re sad to see him go, Cheri has proven her skill as a leader through her years with Key, and we’re thrilled to have someone with her depth of experience to head our team in Aroostook County.”
Doak’s connections to the community are extensive. She is currently the President of the United Way of Aroostook board and has been on the board since 2002; she also serves on the boards of the Aroostook County Chapter of Junior Achievement and is Secretary, Caribou Recreation Foundation. Doak has earned numerous awards and honors, including Citizen of the Year for Caribou, Volunteer of the Year for United Way and the America’s Promise Award from the Maine Banker’s Association.
