PRESQUE ISLE, ME & LIGHTHOUSE POINT, FL – Christine I. (Nickerson) King, 82, beloved wife of Max E. King and mother of Donna Philbrock, passed away May 20, 2014, at her residence in Lighthouse Point, FL. Christine was born in Presque Isle September 1, 1931, the daughter of Elwood and Evelyn (Turner) Nickerson.
Christine was a graduate of Washburn High School and worked many years for the New England Telephone Company where she retired.
Christine is survived by her husband, Max; her daughter, Donna Philbrook of Florida, two step-daughters, Sabrina and Duane Cronenburger of SC, and Kimberly and Alan Huber of CA; her siblings, Dana Nickerson of Presque Isle, Dean and Marilyn Nickerson of Houlton, Gerald and Patricia Nickerson of Caribou, and Merle and Lois Nickerson of FL. She is also survived by five step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Elwood and Evelyn (Turner) Nickerson.
