    PRESQUE ISLE – Dolores Buchanan Raymond, 75, died unexpectedly June 9, 2014, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born June 13, 1938, in Presque Isle, the daughter of Earl and Madelyn (Rediker) Buchanan.
    Dolores graduated from Mapleton High School in 1956 and married Linwood Raymond that fall. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who was always watchful for the well being of her family. Dolores loved traveling, both at home and abroad, and was an active member in the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church. Always ready for an adventure, she met life’s joys and sorrows with determination and a sense of humor.
    She is survived by a daughter, Lynne Raymond of Whitman, Mass.; two sons, Jonathan and his wife ,Trish of North Waterboro, ME, and David and his wife, Sara of Mapleton; a brother, Philip Buchanan and his wife, Barbara of Presque Isle, and a sister, Jean Tardie of Mapleton. In addition, she is survived by eight grandchildren: Uriah Hedrich, Amanda Raymond, Carter Raymond, Amy Raymond, Allison Raymond, Christopher Raymond, Isaac Raymond and Dara Raymond; and three great-grandchildren, Forest Raymond, Miles Raymond and Jase Campbell.
    She was predeceased by her husband, Linwood; grandson, Daniel Hedrich; and sisters, Patricia Buchanan and Marjorie Bishop.
    Friends called, 1 p.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, at the Presque Isle Wesleyan Church, 387 Centerline Rd., Presque Isle, where funeral services were held at 2 p.m. with Rev. Bud Fancy officiating.
