Youth football clinic

  HOULTON, Maine — The Houlton Football Association (HFA) will hold its third annual youth football clinic at the Lowery Field behind the Southside School on Saturday, June 21, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.
This clinic is presented by the high school varsity staff. The cost is $10. A free ‘Shire
Football’ Tee Shirt is included in the fee. Youth in grades 2 through 8 in the 2014-15 school year are welcome.
Participants should wear sneakers, shorts and bring bottled water. This is a non contact clinic.
The clinic will focus on football fundamentals, while utilizing skill drills and fun team competitions. The session will end with age appropriate flag football contests. If participants have not registered for the clinic already please arrive early to complete paperwork.
Any child who has not registered for the fall football program at any level: second to fourth grade non-contact flag; traveling fifth and sixth grade peewees; and seventh-eighth grade junior high team.
The Houlton Football Association will be on hand to guide parents or guardians through the process. Parents and players are asked to park in the front or side of the Southside School to avoid traffic congestion and allow safe pedestrian passage.
