Baseball team represented Caribou well

To the editor:
Aroostook County and especially Caribou should be proud of the accomplishment the Caribou baseball team achieved throughout the season and especially June 18, winning the Eastern Maine Class B title.
I have had the opportunity to watch these young men play. As a former alumna, I am proud of the way they conducted themselves on the field and off. They encouraged each other, never giving up, and never stooped to the level of heckling their opponents.
To Coach Thibodeau and Coach Umphrey — Thank you.
To the underclassmen — Continue making us proud.
To the seniors — Best of luck in your future endeavors, and remember, you will be the only one holding you back from what you want to accomplish.
As the late Casey Kasem would say, “Keep your feet on the ground and reach for the stars.”
Congratulations, Caribou Vikings. Job well done.
