Librarian says ‘Thank you’!

To the editor:
As some of you may know, my last day as the library director at the Caribou Public Library was June 20th. Although I have truly enjoyed working at the library in various capacities the past 24 years, I am making a move to be closer to my daughter and family.
It has been an honor and a privilege to have served the citizens of Caribou through the years! I feel so blessed to have been able to work in my hometown library and hopefully have been able to give back to a community that gave so much to me as a child growing up in Caribou. The library will always have a special place in my heart, it truly was a dream come true for me to have spent the majority of my working days in a place that I loved surrounded by great people!
The library is a lovely facility, with a great staff and some of the very best users! I will be forever grateful for the support the city and citizens have given me through the years and will truly miss each and every library user/citizen that has been part of my journey! Best wishes to you all and the Caribou Public Library as you venture into this new “chapter” in the library’s history.

Diane DuBois,
Library director
